How I get out on time (Tick tock) with kids

I’m well-known for rushing out the house.  I'm a pro on fighting against obstacle that might come up when trying to get out the house on time with the kids
I have three boys and now a baby girl!  I’ve been a working mother for over 11 years. My oldest son will be 12 in August, so I was the queen of rushing out the house, to get to work on time. But then BANG!!!  I was hit with a newborn baby. That’s where the tricky situation began all over again.

So here are some of my helpful tips on getting out on time;
(Before)
-Have your kids bathe at night time.

-Make sure they have their uniforms/ clothes ready from socks to sweater ready to go the night before.

- (Mom) Get your outfit together (including; shoes, accessories and jewelry).

-Also make sure they have their backpacks with all their supplies (books, homework, pencils, lunch money and ECT).

- (Mom) have your purse ready too, wallet, KEYS, inside the purse. You have no idea how many times I was late because I forgot where my keys were at.

- Now for the baby; make sure you have diapers, wipes, formula, extra clothes, an extra hat, socks, pack in the baby bag the night before. Don’t forget her baby toys we need her distracted in the car ride and we want her to have some familiar toys at daycare.

-Since my daughter is on formula.  I make sure formula is in the bag, and all bottle are clean with amount of water measure to just pour in formula.

- Then plan out your morning and make time for everything. If you have to take out the trash, or want to do your hair, feed the baby or even watch the last 10 minutes of the show you didn’t finish and had to DVR it.  Just give yourself the appropriate amount of time for each thing.

-and THEN give yourself a couple extra minutes in the day because with kids, something always happens.

(During)
-Remember set your alarm! If it’s hard for you to wake up with your alarm, set it earlier, snooze then get up on your second alarm which should be set to the time you really need to get up.

- For (Breakfast) I make smoothies the night before and put them in a mason jar. Make something fulfilling for you and the kids or make two jars one for you and another for the kids.  Then in the morning just pour breakfast ;). (Ideas- milk, yogurt, and fruit *remember quick and easy). There is also Leggos, morning hot pockets or pop tarts to pop in the microwave or toaster.

I also have an automatic coffee brewer. I have it set for 5 in morning so when I get up I have fresh coffee ready for me. It makes my morning so much better. (You’ll understand if you’re a coffee drinker).

It may seem a lot at first. But then it’ll become a routine and it would feel much
easier. Once I started organizing myself and actually doing it my morning felt nicer. I even had time to have relaxing conversation with the boys. I then added 5-10 extra minutes to my morning schedule to play with the baby for a while.

Tuesday Day Date

So on Tuesday, I had to take the day off from work because I didn’t have a babysitter. Bummer! But then again I figure, I get to enjoy more time with my little girl. Oh yeah! I have a daughter! Divany Anabella Mendoza was born on August 7, 2013. Sorry, but I have not blogged since I meet my now fiancé, which is a good thing because that only means I’ve been enjoying life. The future hubby noticed that I have stopped blogging and encouraged me to start again. He knows how much I enjoyed sharing pictures and talking about all kind of stuff…. So I’m here again J Okay okay now back to the blog….  So after requesting the day off and getting approved, my fiance was given the same day off. So we decided to go out on a nice morning date with the baby. We ended up at San Pedro pier.

The day started off kind of cold but gradually got warmer. So we ate on the outside area. Bad idea, the wind blew my spoons and napkins everywhere. So we moved a little bit closer inside by that time my food was a bit cold. Can’t complain it was still delicious. The food was a little pricey but fresh. First you have to wait in line to order the seafood by the pound and then take it over to another place to have them cook it. We got 2 pounds of shrimp with potatoes and veggies which came up to a total of $62.00 (that was not including drinks which were $6 each).  But it was definitely worth it. We had leftovers for dinner, which we didn’t eat… yet. After our delicious lunch we took a stroll with the baby down the pier. Most of the shops they had there were closed I guess that place is more of a weekend thing.  We didn’t mind because it became a nice quiet stroll. We’re planning to go back on a weekend. Maybe next time we would like to take more of the family with us.

Hello there...

It’s been forever since I blogged. I just have been busy living life. But honestly, I miss blogging a lot. It’s funny how I still think about blogging when I get new stuff, all I think about is telling you guys about it. I find myself taking pictures of everything in different angles just to be able to blog about it later. But later has not come around. I just been getting overwhelm with work, school and the family.

So let me tell you guys a little bit on how my life has change. I was single for a long time. I had dated and stuff but, didn’t find the one (you know the one). So recently, I reunited with my best friend from high school. He was the ONE friend I always stayed in contact with after I finished H.S. We would talk for hours and it was the best. But then life happened. We grew apart. But somehow we always stayed in contact with each other. It was either through myspace, facebook or texting. So a little over a year ago, we decided to go out to the movies. We watched Jack and Jill. I figure it was the perfect movie since he’s so funny and I wanted for us to get back to our silly ways. Since, the one night, we have been inseparable. I can honestly say I’m in love.

Controlling your happiness

So, they say that the only person that can control your happiness is you? I agree. There are many situations that you can control the outcome. You can control that outcome by speaking up, or talking about it, or even avoiding it. You’re the only person that can decide what you need to let go, talk about or speak up about. But remember whatever you actually decide to do will turn out to be the outcome you get. So make sure whatever you decide is going to make you happy.  Once you do, you’ll be relived and don’t regret doing it.

Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.

Essie 2012 favorite colors

I'm back. Yes, I know I have been gone since forever. I have been focused on school, homework, my kids, and a bit of me time. But I'm on vacation as of today. Oh Yeah.... (lol) so back to the subject. I purchased two new colors from Essie 2012 summer collection.

So I purchased the bikini so teeny and Fear or desire.

I recently took my acrylic nails off. You can obviously see the damage. But I’m off from school so time to do my own nails and change the colors often. Also since its summer my nails need to breathe and feel fresh as well ;)

*Bikini so teeny- is a unique blue with tiny flecks of glitter in the soft blue shade. (two coats)
(LOVE LOVE LOVE this color)

*Fear or desire- is a bright orange perfect for the summer. (two coats)

Check out the collection... There were some other nice colors.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Years! WOW 2012! Can you believe it? It’s been over two years since I started blogging. So of course New Year means new plans. I can already tell… this year is going to be full of blessings. I’m sorry I been MIA. Last month was a tough month. I lost my grandmother and I was going through a tough time with everything. But I’m trying to stay positive and stay focused. I know she’s in a better places with there is no pain. So I have been writing many ideas and ready to share many things with everyone. Stay tuned J

Sick. pictures.

Over the weekend plus Monday and Tuesday I was home with a cold. Staying at home doing nothing makes me feel worthless, so I would get up and try to do something around the house. But on Sunday… I did nothing and stayed in bed all day. Monday I did get up but… till 1pm to eat and clean a bit, because if I was going to be stuck in my room, I wanted to be stuck in a clean room.  Tuesday I felt a bit better… I made it to class in the evening… which is very important to me. Psychology is no joke… I need my notes for all exams, so I can’t miss a class… so many terms but I love that class, I have the best teacher ever. He makes sense of each term which the perfect scenario.

These are some of the pictures I took while I was stuck at home sick for basically 3 days. I took regular pictures and use instagram to make them look sort of retro.

Bringing back some of these styles and retro looks is absolutely brilliant.

Prioritize your life...

Sometimes I get myself into situations I just can’t handle… some people might call that a challenge… I call it a mistake.  Why?  Because I know I shouldn’t do it but I keep doing it. I don't know if I'll be able to handle it. I know I should stop it… but I don’t. I know everything escalates and then what? So if you know you can’t handle it… don’t do it…
Do what?

Anything and everything… it could be a relationship, another hobby, adding another class, applying for another job… adding another responsibility to your list that you’re not going to be able to put your all into it.

I know some people say it’s going to be hard but you can do it… hey if it’s possible do it. But if you already have a lot on your plate you know you can’t its okay not to.  Just finish what you your doing now and then come back and try doing what you wanted to do next. Because then you can do it right.

“I”… was focused… focused on being a mom, working, school, and working out. So why am I trying to add more things to my schedule… its takes time away from everything else. Takes away from my time that I have to finish what I already have to do and finish it with a great accomplishment.

So focus I will stay.

I feel that if I try doing something else at this very point of my life it would be impossible.

It might be
fear
or
 that I'm to smart.

I’m always having the propensity on crashing into obstacles but I have to learn to avoid the one that I can’t handle and going through the one I need to.

Priority!
Priority!
Priority!
