OVERDUE...

I have been wanting to blog about the coastal scents Contour pallet for a while. I’m in love with blush! Blush just helps make you look so girly. So I had to get this pallet. It’s perfect! It has a huge Contour,2 highlights, and 2 blushes. It really is huge. I think this will last me forever (Well I really hope so) lol

I also bought a couple of brushes from them... I'll tell you guys about it soon =]

We have to learn to listen. I know it’s more difficult for some than others. I would consider myself one of those “some” type of people. I have to learn to be more patience and slow down and listen. Sometimes if we listen we can actually learn stuff that benefits us in any kind of way.

*HOW TO LISTEN*

1. Step
When you engage in a conversation with someone you need to put all of your other thoughts and concerns to the side and focus on the conversation. This can be tough, especially if you are upset about something or really busy. If you don't put it to the side, it can cause you to miss out on what someone is saying and also cause you to respond with short answers.

2. Step 2
Look at the speaker directly. Try to make good eye contact, especially when they are telling you the most important information of the conversation. By looking directly at the speaker, you will hear what they are saying more clearly and retain more information.

3. Step 3
If the person is foreign, has a slurred speech, or speaks softly, be sure to watch their mouth to make out the words. People retain a fraction of the information they hear, so it's important not to miss out on what's being said during the conversation.
4. Step 4
Allow the person to finish their side of the conversation before speaking. Instead of trying to interrupt, and get your two cents in, gather information by listening.
5. Step 5
Lastly, the biggest problem people have while listening is that they're trying to formulate a response while the other person is still talking. Again, listen to what the other person is saying and gather information. When they are done speaking, you will be able to quickly respond from having listened so well. If you try to formulate a response while they are speaking, you will find that you miss important information and risk embarrassment when you ask something they already told you.

So this weekend was full of shopping. The kids got new clothes and I treated myself to more make up. Soooo…. (tadaa)

I got two new nail polishes.

I get my nails done and of course you would think I would use their nail polish but they don’t have the exact colors that I fall in love with.
So I got Studded and Galore Pink nail polish.

I love them both one is like a metallic look and other is like a girly hot pink.

I also got Show Orchid lipstick from MAC.

It’s so hot pink and I can’t wait to wear it this weekend.

New Favorite Class....

Hey Guys, so I started my sign language class. My teacher is deaf, so this is going to be a tougher class than I expected. As I sat there and saw my teacher only speaking in sign Language I couldn’t help to think….”What I got myself into”. However, I’m really determined to pass this class and get it. I had a sister that was deaf. She passed away when I was 14. It was a very sad moment of my life and every time I look at my teacher teaching sign language with intensity… I start getting very emotional. It was the same intensity my sister had when teaching me sign language. I know she did it because she wanted me to be able to communicate with her better. I hate myself for not sticking to it at least due to her memory. But I'm going to try my best to learn it and do it now.

Happy V-Day

Valentines is just around the corner… Hope that everyone spends it with that special someone. That special someone can be anyone you care and love like your boyfriend/girlfriend of course or even your best friend, brother/sister, favorite co-worker, or even your kids. Since my past Valentines is no longer my Valentine… I decide to get 3 new Valentines… Andrew, Bryan, and Chris. (Dayuuum)…lol (but their my kids) For Valentines were going out for dinner at Olive Garden. They have wanted me to take them there for a while or we can make it a pizza night with movies. I’ll give them the option.

So I spend last night making about 50 baggies for Andrew and Bryan’s class.

The perfect pink came out on the perfect month during the perfect days. Valentines!

BYE JANUARY!

So this is what’s up for the month of January...

My brother turned 21… finally! We went to Dave and Buster for his Birthday… we had drinks played games… it’s was cool.

My nephew which is also my same brother son had a birthday.

He turned “2”!

Awww…so cute!

Major news!! I’m quitting my second job. I’m starting school in two weeks and I can’t do it again. Working 2 jobs, one of them fulltime and taking care of my boys…. No, no, no... Now it’s work, school, kids and my health. It’s time to use my weekends to take my kids to the park and fit in some exercise in there.

I will miss the drive and the view… I even took a picture of it.. lol (awww) I’m just the type a girl that gets attached. I know it’s bad because it makes it hard to move on.

So more news… I got some new makeup… I actually got it for my birthday but didn’t’ blog about it… I got the SMASHBOX Holiday collection pallet, high definition foundation, and an anti-shiner, and a Heartbreaker perfume…. Which “I LOVE”! ( I got so much new stuff update later)

Oh yeah, I got a COACH purse for Christmas… I love it… my colors… black and grey! (from my favorite brother...Thanks Kevin) And I got a blackberry Bold for my B-day. My DADDY gave it to me =]

Since it’s a New Year, there are new goals, new plans and I’m also changing my room. I’m trying to be even more girly… I’m redoing my room… so far this is what I change… So I got new curtains, new frames, and a new lamp… so girly right?

We also had to GRAN OPENING at my first time job. It was very busy but productive. I got to meet many of our collaborators and e even spoke with our Mayor. He was a cool guys.This is a picture of my boss and the Mayor… Two older good looking successful men! (I love my job)

RAIN, RAIN, RAIN

I love the rain...I love the sound of it, I love to see it and I love the smell it leaves behind. I love after a rainy day, how beautiful the sun shines and the bird sing. However, it's been raining a lot, I guess I’m just not use to all this rain. It's been a while that it has rain this bad. As much as I love and enjoy the rain, I know many people get affected by it. Many families living near the mud slides, some are homeless, and there are people without stable living arrangements. Some had doctor’s appointment or Job interviews, which probably they didn't make. Well as much some of us love the rain others can't even go on with their day because of it. Well in Cali, we really had much rain last month and I thought it was over but I just found out it's not. So don't put your umbrellas away just yet. Those than can, enjoy it!

Single-Parenting

Since I'm off from school and have not worked many hours in my second job, I have been spending all my time with my kids. We have fun and we don't (because sometimes we might get on each other’s nerves). We read books, we play Lego’s, we wrestle, and we draw together. We do all that bonding stuff. But I'm in pain right now because last night I got hurt while playing wrestling with my boys. Maybe it's not really a mommy thing to do. However, I'm MOMMY and DADDY for my kids. Since I did take both role's, I'm trying to play the part right. However, it's hard doing it, but I know it's possible. Many mommies out there do it, so I know I can do it. However, I wanted to dedicate this post to all those hard working single mommies and of course the single daddies. I know it's hard but it's possible and it's worth it at the end!

So I’m out of school and I’m free till spring. I can’t wait to hang out with my friends. Have some me time. Read a couple of books that “I want”. Stay up late and watch movies. Go out and party. I’ll be me again. Woohoo!

But Overall school was great and oh yeah I received my grades. I got two “A’s” and a “B”. So I’m happy and ready to relax.
