I'm Late I'm Late for an Improtant date.

For the month of May.

So this is what’s up for May….

May 22, 2010 was my son Birthday party… It was my little big boy birthday. Christopher Mathew Gonsalez turned 4 on May 19, 2010. We told him that this year his party would be at Chucky Cheese. He was not so happy about the idea. He wanted to have his Birthday at home like we do usually. He likes when I decorate the backyard with his favorite action figure. However, budget was shorter and it’s a lot more work to have a party at home. So I wanted to try something different. However, I can say going to chucky Cheese is not all that cheaper and the service was okay. I found myself having to go find the servants several times. I organized the party for just close friends and family however it turned out that more people came by which was ok. It’s hard to mingle with many people when you’re the only host.
My son loved his party. He kept telling me that he had lots of fun. It was so sweet 2 days later before going to sleep he sat up and looked at me and said “Mom, Thanks you for my birthday party”. I was like “Awww! You welcome my baby”. Moments like those make all worth it, the money, the time, and everything else.

For last year's party… I went for the action figure theme. My son loves Spiderman so I decorated it... Spiderman. The only thing I couldn’t find to make this a picture perfect decoration was spider web.

Year before that....

Chris long hair before his Birthday hair cut. He's playing the part well... right? Before bed time he enjoy's reading my Political Science book.

On another note, on May we got the enjoyment of shopping for MAC Back to the Beach collection. I loved many things from this collection. So I picked up 2 eye shadows, a lipstick, a lip gloss, a lip pencil, a eye kohl, and a blush.

I also got Thrills(Frost) Lipstick and Flurry Of Fun- Lip glass which I will be blogging about separately. I love them both.

Seeing all these new previews on Eclipse has been one of my highlights for the month of may. Now that were in June's I'm more excited than ever. The movie is out on June 30, 2010. A couple more days and I'm beyond excited about it.

So I ordered this about a month ago. However, I have not had a chance to blog about it. I absolutely love the 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil. It works great and it does not smear. The lid primer is my most favorite thing and I use every day. I'm still more in love with my Smashbox lid primer but Urban decay passes. I don't really use mascara because of my eye lash extensions but it seems good. I'm not crazy about the lip gloss or the lipstick. It's okay.

My every day look...

During the month of May I took many trips to Pinkberry. I love pinkberry so much. I would have it every day if I could. The only thing that bothers me is that there are not enough of them. Also their not really local.

More than a Break Up

We all had a lost love, some of us more truly than others.

I lost him to some other guys.
They took his life. They took him out of my life.
It hurt way more than I expected and even though it’s been years

I was in the love stage. The “I can’t live without him stage”…
so when he was taken I really felt like I couldn’t live without him.
That day I found out, I cried all day. The next day, I did too.
The third day, it felt unreal and I felt unreal. I felt like a lost soul in an empty world.
In a way I want to believe that it was the same as a break up.
The he left me “break-up”, the he cheated “brake up”, the he wanted someone else “break up”.
I tried so hard to convince myself of all these things.
But truly I know that’s not the case.
I sometimes wish it was, because I would hate him instead of missing him so much.
If I hated him it wouldn’t still hurt.

My blues… are going away. I had been using blue nail polishes a lot. It was weird that blue was my trend for a while. I’m not really a blue kind of girl. All these nail polishes came from Hot topic, CVS and Avon.

My life has been pretty boring lately, beside the laughs I have with my boys. I work, be a mom and sometimes I get a chance to watch T.V.

I watched Nightmare on Elm Street with some friends… It was good not great. I love the original Freddy. The one I use to have nightmares about, I guess like my co-worker said this is the new update Freddy. Major differences don’t you think?

Another thing I been obsessing a lot on is LA INK. I know the show is old but I have not really had a chance to watch it on TV. So a weekend when they had re-runs I caught it and loved it. Now whenever I get a chance I watch it on YOUTUBE or on TLC website.

I think she’s simply beautiful, and I love her style. She's such a cool chick and I admire her for doing what she loves.

I have not been able to do any make-up looks either. I have been sticking to neutral during this semester of school. Don’t get me wrong I love neutrals but I have not had a chance to have fun with my make up at all.

The only fun I had for the past month is flashing my MAC Show Orchid with my nerd glasses…lol I LUV them

Since I have been trying to stay Acrylic free I have been looking for awesomest colors. I got this loud color from Hot Topic. I have been shopping there a lot lately. I have way more colors but this is the loudest so far. I’m going back there for a yellow and orange soon.

I also started to dress up my laptop with stickers from them. More to come.

Lastly, Lack of sleep has really been a trend for me this month. We’ve been working on many final projects for school and it’s been back to back within classes. Also at work some were laid off and others transfer that it’s been beyond busy.

I can’t wait for the summer when I can actually chill at home planning BBQ’s with my boys. Instead for now I spent my afternoons with a T-Shirt and doing homework.

It's been a stressful week at work. Some of my co-workers were laid off. It was a sad day and it's going to be a sad week. I have been so busy with school and now work. So this made total sense and helps a lot. I'm sure going to start looking for stuff to make my house my own escape from the hassles of the outside world.

Thought bubble popped...

Late Last night I was up wondering if things in our life are destined. Was my life really supposed to be my life? Do the good happen to the good or is that something just said to make you do good? Are the lucky ones really just lucky? Are the misfortuned really meant to be misfortuned? I sometimes do believe that things were meant to be but other times, I think it all depends on the way we were raised that lead us to the choices we made which lead us to the life’s we have. However, what about those lucky moment? Was that really a lucky moment? Was that lucky moment really destined for me? Is Destiny real then? I keep going in circles trying to understand this weird world and this thing call life.

The Story of my life by Helen Keller

So I started reading “The story of my Life” by Helen Keller. This book has opened my mind and has made me wonder and think outside my own box of thoughts. Before I even started reading the book, my first question in mind was… how did she communicate? I asked several people but nothing. So I’m one of those people that couldn’t wait to read the book to find out... So I Google. Google said that she had a teacher Ms. Sullivan that did first help sense things by touching them and then creating the sing for her. She would grab her hand and sign for her and eventually she learned it. WOW! Having one disability, I believe is hard but having two is a major hassle. Especially if it’s sight and hearing the sense you living without. Stories like this make me wonder… Like do blind people have dreams? What if they have been blind since birth and have no image of anything?

Yes, I Google and found out that….

Yes, blind people do have dreams. However, those blind since birth or very early childhood have no visual imagery in their dreams. Instead, they experience a very high percentage of taste, smell, and touch sensations in their dreams. (Also Auditory dreams)

The breakdown is as follows:

There are no visual images in the dreams of those born without any ability to experience visual imagery in waking life.

Individuals who become blind before the age of five seldom experience visual imagery in their dreams.

Those who become sightless between the ages of five and seven may or may not retain some visual imagery.

Most people who lost their vision after age seven continue to experience at least some visual imagery, although its frequency and clarity often fade with time.

Spring Nails

So as I informed you guys that my nails were very damage because of the acrylics I been using for years. So for this whole month, I had my natural nails and have been trying to cure them… I have been using the Sally’s Nail Nutrition Green Tea + Bamboo Nail Strengthener. I seen some improvement and it has been working "Okay". Also, since it is spring I been using Springy color nail polishes. These have so far been my favorites…


Kook- A-Mango (left) is a bright orangey with a tint of red. If you don’t like bright color you’re really not going to like this one. But the color really is perfect for spring.

Commander in chic (Middle) is a grayish-brownish with a tint of purple polish. I don’t know if it’s just me but it all depends on the lighting different tints reflect on them. I sometimes see it like grayish w/ a tint of purple. Other times they look Brownish with a tint of grey.

Fairy Teal (Right) is a nice cream teal color. The only bad thing about this one is that you have to be real careful when removing the color because it stains your fingers. BAD! Even after nail polish remover and then washing my hand and the color was still on tips of my fingers.


I’ll be looking for more colors and sharing my thoughts on them. For now all I can say is that these colors are amazing and I do get a lot of compliments on them. If you are interested they're about 8 bucks. I got mines at CVS but I'm sure you can find them at any drugstore or anywhere they sell Sally Hansen nail polishes.
