MY BIRTHDAY WEEK!

Birthday week...
I'm late on this post. So yes, I was sick on the week of my birthday. On my actual birthday I went to work. Why? We were having pot luck. When WE have a pot luck it’s like 50 or more different plates. It's amazing. We had turkey, chicken, tamales, Chile Verde con pollo (Green salsa type sauce with chicken), Chinese food, Mexican dishes, Filipino dishes and about 12 different deserts. So yes, I went to work. But, let me back up... So, I woke up early and decided I felt too weak to dress up. I wore my regular work outfit, did nothing special with my hair and left to work. As I was about to walk into the office I noticed pink ribbons by my desk from the front glass door. All I could say was "WOW". My desk had a bunch of cute print outs, balloons, ribbon, and paper flowers all over. I was shocked and amazed at the same time. I thought it was so cute and thoughtful of my co-workers to do all that. We always decorate staff desk on their birthday but the ribbon running across my desk gave it a big wow. All I can say is that "I love my job and I love my co-workers". That night I went home and took shots of Nyquil.

What else happen that week? I got my new glasses.... Hello nerd Arlin! I love my glasses. Yes, they are cute but that does not matter because what I really love is that fact that I can see. I never knew how blind I really was. Well, I'm not totally blind but I can't believe I been driving that long without them. I know I put many people life at risk. Sorry People!

The same day that I went to pick up my glasses I discovered a SANARIO store by my house. I was totally shocked, amazed, and in love when I found it. As I walked in to the store I realized that about 85% of the stuff they sell is Hello Kitty. I wanted to buy the whole store but all I bought was a Thermo cup for my coffee (I LOVE COFFEE). It's the cutest thing ever. The next day I went to work and my co-worker surprised me with my pink Thermo water cup. Now I have a cup for cold and hot drinks. The best part about it is that they are both so cute. "Thanks Mary"!

Another "The Office" picture. I remember this episode...

Jim Halpert:
What is that? [points to Dwight's banner] "It is your birthday" period.
Dwight Schrute:
It's a statement of fact.
Jim Halpert:
Not even an exclamation point?
Dwight Schrute:
This is more professional! It's not like she discovered a cure for cancer!

OCTOBER IS GONE!

What’s up with OCOTBER…?
October came and left in a heartbeat. Well, not realistically but it sure didn’t feel like a whole month to me. Work, school and the kids are sure keeping me busy. BUT, I love my kids, so in that factor I don’t mind. As I spend the weekend with them or maybe it’s our late night chats, I realize that they are the best thing in my life. So bye, bye month of October I’m sorry that I missed you and Hello, November. I love November holidays, weather, and specially love it because it’s my birthday month.
What I remember from October….? Hmmm oh yeah, it was Halloween and the kids had a blast. They trick or’ treated at night, hanged out with their cousins and ate some chocolate before going to bed.

Mario was the hit of the night... My little Chris looked just like Mario. We found his girlfriend... she said her name was Maria though... lol

My last minute makeup... the scary doll...lol

HOPE EVERYONE HAD A GREAT HALLOWEEN!!!

Guidelines to finding the perfect lipstick

  • If you want to play it safe, don't go more than a couple of shades lighter or darker than your natural lip color.
  • Typically, fair skin is most flattered by colors with blue undertones, especially roses and pinks; olive skin looks great in warm plums and can pull off beiges without looking washed out; dark skin can carry deep, deep crimsons.
  • Your hair counts, too: The lighter it is, the brighter your lipcolor will look.
  • Consider your teeth: If they have a slight yellowish cast, lipsticks with blue undertones (including plums, wines, and pinks) may brighten them. (Or try Benefit California Kissin' Lip Shine; it has a slight blue sheen and can be applied over any lipstick.) Coral and orange lipcolors (not to mention that second glass of red wine) will make the problem worse.

Keeping it nice and tight!

1. Do border control. Before you apply, use a sponge to dab a powder foundation around the outside of the lips. It'll help keep the color from seeping outside your lip line and also create a subtle contrast that makes lips appear a bit fuller, says New York City makeup artist Maria Verel (who makes sure Diane Sawyer's lipstick looks great—in high-definition—by 7 o'clock every morning).

2. Forget the brush. "The color is more intense if you apply it directly from the tube, and the more pigment that winds up on your lips, the longer it will last," says New York City makeup artist Matthew Nigara.

3. Pencil it in. Once the color is in place, "tidy up around the edges with a pencil," says Verel. "It's drier and waxier than the lipstick, so it will create another barrier against bleeding." Choose a neutral shade that closely matches your natural lip color and is no darker than your lipstick (try one of these makeup artist favorites: Chanel Precision Lip Definer in Nude, Nars Lipliner Pencil in Borneo, or MAC Lip Pencil in Spice); for a line that looks natural, not harsh, use short strokes with the side (not the point) of the pencil.

4. Blot a bit. After you've applied the color, put a tissue between your lips and gently press down. "It lifts away the excess emollients that cause lipstick to smear," says Verel.

5. Protect your teeth. Red-carpet regulars and beauty queens may smear Vaseline on their teeth to keep lipstick from rubbing off on them; if you do it, though, you'll probably look as if you have Vaseline smeared on your teeth. Instead, after you apply lipstick, put your index finger in your mouth and slowly pull it out. (Feel free to Purell liberally first.) "It's the best way to remove any color that has migrated to the inside of your lips, which rubs against your teeth as you talk," says Nigara. Another preventive measure: Don't pucker up when you apply lipstick—it'll increase the likelihood of getting color on that area.

Great advice from The Oprah Magazine!

"Beauty, to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, and a kick-ass lipstick."

OLE Henriksen mini Review.

So my Tia brought me a couple of stuff from her job. She does not work for the company but for the place where they get their label placed. One of the items she gave me was the Sugar Glow face scrub, which I absolutely love. Once you use it leaves your face really smooth and fresh. She also bought me the lip balms which really work better than Carmex. Ever since she gave me this I have not use my Carmex again. After she gave them to me I decide to research and check what was making my face feel so soft and amazing. After realizing all the stuff it has it makes total sense that it works so well. The sugar scrub also has a sweet smell that just makes you want to lick it off your lips when you’re scrubbing them. She recently came by and gave me a cleansing mask and blemish remover roller. I have to try those a bit more before having any comments on them.Sugar glow face scruball

My home, My style! Your home, Your style!

To make your house truly yours, add quirky touches, Maybe it’s the not quite-perfect quilt you made yourself or funky designs stenciled on your dresser; these touches make you home personal and memorable. If you love fantasy, create rooms with themes, like a Pee-Wee’s- Playhouse kitchen or a fairy-tale bedroom. Start collecting interesting objects from trips you take. These objects add an exotic element to your home, while reminding you of a wonderful vacation. They will also make interesting conversation pieces.

I'm Late I'm Late for an Improtant date.

For the month of May.

So this is what’s up for May….

May 22, 2010 was my son Birthday party… It was my little big boy birthday. Christopher Mathew Gonsalez turned 4 on May 19, 2010. We told him that this year his party would be at Chucky Cheese. He was not so happy about the idea. He wanted to have his Birthday at home like we do usually. He likes when I decorate the backyard with his favorite action figure. However, budget was shorter and it’s a lot more work to have a party at home. So I wanted to try something different. However, I can say going to chucky Cheese is not all that cheaper and the service was okay. I found myself having to go find the servants several times. I organized the party for just close friends and family however it turned out that more people came by which was ok. It’s hard to mingle with many people when you’re the only host.
My son loved his party. He kept telling me that he had lots of fun. It was so sweet 2 days later before going to sleep he sat up and looked at me and said “Mom, Thanks you for my birthday party”. I was like “Awww! You welcome my baby”. Moments like those make all worth it, the money, the time, and everything else.

His reaction to Chucky... (He realize he didn't like him after all) and Andrew enjoy catching some tickets for him.

Make up for party... simple and greyish w/a slight purpley cute.

For last year's party… I went for the action figure theme. My son loves Spiderman so I decorated it... Spiderman. The only thing I couldn’t find to make this a picture perfect decoration was spider web.

Year before that....

Chris long hair before his Birthday hair cut. He's playing the part well... right? Before bed time he enjoy's reading my Political Science book.

On another note, on May we got the enjoyment of shopping for MAC Back to the Beach collection. I loved many things from this collection. So I picked up 2 eye shadows, a lipstick, a lip gloss, a lip pencil, a eye kohl, and a blush.

Sweet & Punchy

Firecracker

Hipness- Blush

Life's A Breeze- Lip Pencil

Float on By- Eye Kohl

I also got Thrills(Frost) Lipstick and Flurry Of Fun- Lip glass which I will be blogging about separately. I love them both.

Seeing all these new previews on Eclipse has been one of my highlights for the month of may. Now that were in June's I'm more excited than ever. The movie is out on June 30, 2010. A couple more days and I'm beyond excited about it.

So I ordered this about a month ago. However, I have not had a chance to blog about it. I absolutely love the 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil. It works great and it does not smear. The lid primer is my most favorite thing and I use every day. I'm still more in love with my Smashbox lid primer but Urban decay passes. I don't really use mascara because of my eye lash extensions but it seems good. I'm not crazy about the lip gloss or the lipstick. It's okay.

My every day look...

During the month of May I took many trips to Pinkberry. I love pinkberry so much. I would have it every day if I could. The only thing that bothers me is that there are not enough of them. Also their not really local.

Hope you guys had a wonderful month!

More than a Break Up

We all had a lost love, some of us more truly than others.
I had that boyfriend that
I loved, Care and spent every free second of my days with.
I had the boyfriend that made me
shy, happy, smile and dance around in my kitchen with socks on.
But
I lost him to some other guys.
They took his life. They took him out of my life.
It hurt way more than I expected and even though it’s been years
since it happened it still hurts and I still miss him more than ever.
I was in the love stage. The “I can’t live without him stage”…
so when he was taken I really felt like I couldn’t live without him.
That day I found out, I cried all day. The next day, I did too.
The third day, it felt unreal and I felt unreal. I felt like a lost soul in an empty world.
In a way I want to believe that it was the same as a break up.
The he left me “break-up”, the he cheated “brake up”, the he wanted someone else “break up”.
I tried so hard to convince myself of all these things.
But truly I know that’s not the case.
I sometimes wish it was, because I would hate him instead of missing him so much.
If I hated him it wouldn’t still hurt.

Loving you was easy, losing you was hard. Loving you is still easy, but knowing you are no longer here, is the hardest of it all.
