Sick. pictures.

Over the weekend plus Monday and Tuesday I was home with a cold. Staying at home doing nothing makes me feel worthless, so I would get up and try to do something around the house. But on Sunday… I did nothing and stayed in bed all day. Monday I did get up but… till 1pm to eat and clean a bit, because if I was going to be stuck in my room, I wanted to be stuck in a clean room.  Tuesday I felt a bit better… I made it to class in the evening… which is very important to me. Psychology is no joke… I need my notes for all exams, so I can’t miss a class… so many terms but I love that class, I have the best teacher ever. He makes sense of each term which the perfect scenario.

These are some of the pictures I took while I was stuck at home sick for basically 3 days. I took regular pictures and use instagram to make them look sort of retro.

Bringing back some of these styles and retro looks is absolutely brilliant.

Prioritize your life...

Sometimes I get myself into situations I just can’t handle… some people might call that a challenge… I call it a mistake.  Why?  Because I know I shouldn’t do it but I keep doing it. I don't know if I'll be able to handle it. I know I should stop it… but I don’t. I know everything escalates and then what? So if you know you can’t handle it… don’t do it…
Do what?

Anything and everything… it could be a relationship, another hobby, adding another class, applying for another job… adding another responsibility to your list that you’re not going to be able to put your all into it.

I know some people say it’s going to be hard but you can do it… hey if it’s possible do it. But if you already have a lot on your plate you know you can’t its okay not to.  Just finish what you your doing now and then come back and try doing what you wanted to do next. Because then you can do it right.

“I”… was focused… focused on being a mom, working, school, and working out. So why am I trying to add more things to my schedule… its takes time away from everything else. Takes away from my time that I have to finish what I already have to do and finish it with a great accomplishment.

So focus I will stay.

I feel that if I try doing something else at this very point of my life it would be impossible.

It might be
fear
or
 that I'm to smart.

I’m always having the propensity on crashing into obstacles but I have to learn to avoid the one that I can’t handle and going through the one I need to.

Priority!
Priority!
Priority!

Amalia's Guatemalan Restaurant

Yes, I'm Guatemalan... well both of my parents are... and that basically makes me 100% Guatemalan. I was born in Torrance, California but grew up partially in Los Angeles and then Inglewood.  I only had a chance to visit my parent’s homeland once… but I get to eat their food all the time… and I love it. Black beans and rice is my favorite meal. I can have black beans and rice everyday… with sour cream. MMMMMMM! So my co-worker wanted to visit a Guatemalan restaurant which I don’t commonly visit because I get to eat Guatemalan food on a daily basis at home. But I agree and we found a place near East LA… I must say… it was sooo good. Reminds me of my mom’s food. So delicious.!

To start with... we all had different drinks... I had Tamarind    - A sweet tamarind juice
Tomato sauce... with season, and salsa... very yummy salsa.

The atmosphere was great… so peaceful and clean and very appealing to the eye. They had great music… I wanted to get up to dance on a couple of the songs… I didn’t lol but the volume was good… not too loud where you can’t have a conversation. They also had an awesome outside patio as well, where the set up was also very pleasant.
Amalia's Breakfast- Steak, longaniza, fried plantains, two eggs, refried beans and cream.

Pollo Frito- Quarter of a fried chicken served with salad and Refried black beans

Camarones Al Mojo de Ajo- Delicious jumbo shrimp sautéed with fine chopped garlic, margarine and parsley
 Homemade Tortillas... The best.
